Basic File Preparation Rules

  • File format: PDF (or high-quality JPG, PNG, TIFF).
  • Resolution: 300 DPI.
  • Color mode: Preferred mode is CMYK (Coated Fogra 39 profile); RGB files will be automatically converted, which may result in color shade differences.
  • Rich black: To achieve rich black, use the following components: C:30% M:30% Y:0% K:100%.
  • Bleed: Add 15 mm of background graphics on each side beyond the target format (e.g., for a 420 x 560 mm board, the file should be 450 x 590 mm).
  • Safety margin: Place important texts and graphics at least 5 mm from the edge of the target format (net).
  • Text: All fonts must be converted to curves.
  • Marks: Do not add trim lines or registration marks when saving.
  • Flatten layers before saving. Remove transparency effects.

We produce boards in three folding standards. Your design can have any dimensions, but it must fit within the specified maximum dimensions for the chosen variant:

Board folded into 2 parts (1 fold) – maximum size: 31 x 67 cm

Board folded into 4 parts (2 folds) – maximum size: 62 x 67 cm

Board folded into 6 parts (3 folds) – maximum size: 62 x 93 cm

Single file: Prepare the file for the ordered board as a single graphic of the entire board. Do not divide it yourself into individual parts or flaps – our system will do that.

To streamline the verification process, please name the file according to the scheme: Lastname_FoldingType_Dimensions_Quantity

Example: Nowak_4parts_60x60_1pc.pdf

This is a crucial step for the product to be functional:

Ensure that the folded board fits freely into the box.

Rule: The size of the folded board should be at least 1.5 cm smaller than the internal size of the box.
